These terms cover your use of thatched.ai and THATCHED Convert at pdf.thatched.ai, provided by THATCHED Ltd (company no. 16546239, registered in England and Wales). By using the service you agree to them.
The service
Convert turns PDF files into Word and Excel files, using OCR for scanned pages in English, Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. Files can be up to 15 MB and 40 pages. Free use is limited per visitor per day.
Conversion is automatic and not perfect. Word output is flowing text and does not keep images, fonts or complex layouts. Tables are rebuilt as Excel cells from digital PDFs; on scanned pages we read the text but do not yet rebuild tables. Results are best on clean, printed scans. Check important results before you rely on them.
Prices and payment
- The first 2 pages of every file are free.
- Each page after the first 2 costs ₹100, shown before you pay.
- You pay by UPI from your own app and enter the transaction reference (UTR). We check the payment and then release your files.
Refunds
If a paid conversion fails or is unusable, email business@thatched.ai; we review each request and refund where the fault is ours.
Your files
You must have the right to upload the files you send us. You keep all rights in your files and in the results. We use them only to provide the service and delete them as set out in our privacy notice.
Fair use
Do not upload unlawful content, try to get around usage limits or payments, or attack or overload the service. We may block access that breaks these terms.
Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for losses that come from relying on a conversion without checking it, or for indirect losses. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without removing any protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
